How to analyse a new company

Analyse the marketing performance and customer base of a company or market

Written by Rohan Hayes

Enter the domain of a company (or companies) to analyse and Ortium will analyse the website, fetch ads and customer reviews to generate a report.

Then analyse and compare the reports of one or multiple companies using the Agent. The agent has access to both the report and all of the raw data (ads and reviews) used to create it.

Step 1: Navigate to the New Report page

Step 2: Add the domain of the company to analyse and hit Find Links

Step 3: Wait 20s and review the links by clicking the icons next to them

If a link is missing, use the icon next to the field to access the ad centre and manually search for the company's ads. If ads are available, copy the url and paste it into the correct field.

💡 Pro tip: always check the reviews and rating link. Ortium will sometimes insert a link from a location that has fewer reviews than others. For the richest insights, use locations with as many reviews as possible.

Step 4: Select "Create Report"

Step 4: Navigate to the Dashboard and view the status of your report

Step 5: Wait 7-10 minutes (Ortium will send an email when the report is finished)

Option 1️⃣ To manually review and edit the report - select the 3 dots.

Option 2️⃣ To run deeper analysis and use AI to edit the report go to step 6

Step 6: Navigate to the agent and tell it which report you would like to work with

💡 Pro tip: you can analyse and compare the data from multiple companies (reports) to gain a market view or run competitor comparisons. Tell the agent which report / company you want to work with and which you want compare against.

Step 7: Open the split screen edit mode by selecting the blue text at the bottom of the agents initial response

Step 8: Create and select variation of the original report (read only) in order to start analysing and editing with the report

Step 9: Prompt the agent to run an analysis

Try 👉 I want you to analyse each LinkedIn ad and determine which stage of the funnel it is targeting. Then calculate the percentage of ads allocated to each funnel stage, create a pie chart and analyse the impact on performance.

Step 10: Insert the new charts and analysis into the report

When you are happy with the results tell the agent to insert the chart and / or additional analysis into the report and in which section you would like the data inserted.

Add the chart and analysis to the LinkedIn ad analysis section

💡 Pro tip: you can also use the agent to call tools like google trends or adwords planner. Check out the guide here.
