Understand a company’s advertising activity

Explore where a company advertises, who its ads target and how its creative approach changes over time.

Open the company profile and select Advertising.

Platforms and targeting

The Overview shows:

  • Active Ads by Platform: ads marked active when collected.

  • Advertising Activity over time: when collected ads were running, grouped by platform.

  • Target Locations and Languages: the geographic and language mix of the available ad data.

Use these charts to spot channel priorities and changes in activity. Ad counts are not measures of spend or performance.

Reach and impressions

Where available, Reach & Impressions shows Google and LinkedIn impressions and Meta reach, with breakdowns by placement and country.

  • Impressions count ad displays, including repeated displays to the same person.

  • Reach measures people reached.

Check the coverage notes: figures may cover only some collected ads and may be reported as ranges. Reach and impressions aren’t directly comparable, and adding reach across ads can count the same person more than once.

Formats and experimentation

The Experimentation section helps you explore how the company varies its advertising:

  • Creative Refresh Rate: the share of dated creatives first shown in the last 90 days.

  • Creative Themes and Messaging Angles: groups of similar creatives and distinct value propositions.

  • Ad longevity: how long ads have been active.

  • Formats: the mix of collected ad formats.

  • Variants per Theme: the average number of variants within a creative theme.

  • Theme Concentration: the share of ads in the three largest creative themes.

These are clues about creative activity—not proof of deliberate testing or successful ads. A long-running ad isn’t necessarily a high-performing one.

Messaging

Explore the themes used in the company’s ads:

  • Value Propositions: the benefits the company offers.

  • Pain Points: the problems it addresses.

  • Promised Outcomes: the results it promises.

  • Use Cases: the situations its products or services support.

For each theme, Count shows how many collected ads use it, and Platform shows where those ads ran.

Use this section to identify recurring messages and compare them with competitors. A frequently used theme shows emphasis—not evidence that it performs well.
