Click Add Company on the dashboard to add businesses and organise them into competitor groups.
You can also add companies from the company list, or the Primary and Competitor drop downs on the agent page.
1. Research a website
Enter the company’s website address and click Research.
The company appears in the table while Ortium finds available marketing and buyer data sources. Repeat this for any other prospects or clients you want to add.
💡 Research checks which sources are available. Data collection and full processing starts after you submit.
2. Review the available sources
The table shows source availability for Google, LinkedIn, Meta, Buyers. SEO and AI Search:
Spinning icon: still checking.
Green tick: source found.
Grey cross: source not found.
Check the company name and edit it if needed. If research fails, click Retry.
3. Assign company roles & add competitors
Leave Company role as Client or prospect for the business you want to investigate.
To add its competitors, click Add competitors beside its name:
Select existing companies from the dropdown, there’s no need to research them again.
Choose Add new company, enter its website and click Research.
Competitors appear underneath their client or prospect. Existing companies are labelled Already added.
💡 We recommend adding at least 2 competitors per prospect or client. The insights get better and clients will pay more attention.
You can also use the Company role dropdown to group a researched company under a client or prospect.
4. Submit your companies
Select the checkboxes beside the companies you want to add, then click Add Company.
Ortium starts processing new companies and saves the selected competitor associations. Existing companies aren’t processed again.
Once you submit companies you will see them added to your workbench, where you can view their status and time to completion.
To move the workbench into the menu, click the home icon.
💡 When a company is Ready, open its profile or click Get Insight to start an analysis.
